Google Calendar

Google Calendar is a way to see other people's schedules and they can see yours. All you have to do is send them a request to see their calendar by typing in their email.  You can see what events they have coming up and you can add to the calendar. I think it would be really helpful to know what your family members have going on so you can build your schedule around theirs. You can set yours to show that you are available or busy on that day and what time you have that event.  It will also send you reminders if you want it too. This is a really good tool.

Google Hangout and Chat

Google Hangout is like Skype. You can video chat with up to nine people. It is a good way to catch up with a lot of old friends at once. You can do this on a phone, tablet, or if you have a computer with a camera you can use that too. If you have a group project you need to work on but are not able to get together with everyone Google Hangout is a good tool to use.

Google Chat is a way you can have multiple people chatting all at the same time. Once again if you have a project you need to work on with your group this is a good way for everyone to be able to put their opinion in.

Google Voice

Google Voice is a way to communicate to more than one person at a time by connecting more than one phone to one number. If you are waiting on an important call you can have the call go to more than one phone in case you are not able to get to just the one phone it will also ring on another one so you are able to take the call.

ToonDoo

ToonDoo is a website that you can make comics, books, avatars, and all kinds of fun things.  You can make Toons and then put them all together to make a book. It is really easy to do and a lot of fun.

Primary Games

Primary Games is a game website that has a good variety of school appropriate games. There are puzzle games, arcade games, action games, dress up games, and many other kinds of games. A couple of fun games that I played was Makeup Mania and Papas Pizzeria.  Makeup Mania would be a fun one more for girls probably because you get to do girls makeup and hair and that kind of stuff, and Papa's Pizzeria can be for anyone it is very addicting. Flag Views

Flag Views is a way to see how many people have been on your blog and it even tells you where they are from. So far I have had 571 views and five of them are from other countries. I had two visitors from Germany and and three visitors from Russia. I think it is really cool to see by flags what other countries have visited my blog,

ToonDoo

At Flowers 2 Mail you can make a flower bouquet and a card and send it to someone you are about.

Word Clouds

Word clouds are cool picture kind of things that make a picture or collage out of words. They are really easy and fun to make. You can make some of your own by clicking on the links I have below.

Photo Edit Sites

piZap is a really fun photo editing site. You can upload your pictures or find pictures on the internet and edit them to be cool or funny.  It is very easy and very fun they have many options you can use to edit your photo. You can change color, theme, even totally change the picture. If you need a good photo editing website I recommend this one.

FotoFlexer is also a really good one. With this one it is more making your picture look more fancy. You upload a picture and you can do different effects with it and add text. This website is good for editing pictures with your friends or family.

PicMonkey is my favorite to edit pictures with friends in it.  You can change the background and add really cool effects.  You also just upload a picture for this website. It is very user friendly and I think it has a lot of really cool things to offer.

Exploring Web Tools

There is many websites you can go to to find any kind of teaching or studying tools.  It can be very hard to find good ones though. Teach Web 2.0 is a good website to help you find find good tools websites. This website has hundreds of different websites you can use. It has websites for teachers, students, or really anybody that is looking for a specific tool. It has websites that you can make banners on, different blogging websites, educational games, and even social websites. If you are having a hard time finding a good website this is a good place to look.

Class Tools

Class Tools is a neat website for teachers or students to use that has a lot  of tools to help you study.  They have many different activities varying from things like making a fakebook page,  twister tweets, and different kinds of diagrams. You can also make games that you make the questions and answers and it makes the game for you.  I prefer this website over Super Teacher Tools because I think it had a lot more to offer, and I think that students would be more interested in the things Class Tools had to offer.

Stykz

Stickz is a cool thing you can download to your computer and make a frame-by-frame animation using stick figures. It is really fun and you can make your stick figures do a lot of little things. If you are ever bored or want something creative to do Stykz would be a good thing to download.

ProProfs

This is a website where you can play games or create your own.  They have many options to choose from like hangman, word searches, brain teasers, cross words, and many others. It is very easy and fun to make your own games. You just put your own words in and it puts them on the website. If you are ever bored this is a great website to visit.

Avatar

If you would like a picture to represent yourself or your business online you use a avatar or a picture.  There are a lot of good web sites that you can create your avatar. For example Build Yourself Wild is a fun one where you can make an avatar and it can be crazy, you can make an animal or just a human. It is a fun one to visit.

Another fun one is DoppelMe.  This on is a little less crazy than the first one, but you have to  have a account if you want to save your avatar. If you don't want to create an account you can just screen shot it.  DoppelMe has a lot of choices but I don't think it is as creative as Build Yourself Wild.

If you like South Park you will like the South Park Studio where you can build your own South Park avatar. They have a lot of funny out fit choices you can make and it is just a fun web site to build an avatar on and it is a user friendly web site.

OSOQ Avatar Creator is a cool one because you can put your own picture on and do stuff to it, or you can make a cartoon one, or you can even just find a picture off of the internet and animate it. This is a good one because there is so many options of what you can create on this web site.

My favorite one though is Be Funky. This one you can take any picture you have and email it to yourself and download it to your computer.  After you do that you can edit that picture however you want and use it for an avatar.  This website has a lot of really cool options and I recommend this website.

Geo Google

Google Earth and Panoramio are cool things to look at pictures taken around the world.  Google Earth lets you see around the world from your computer.  It lets you see where places are and has good pictures that people have actually taken and downloaded onto Google Earth.

Google offers is a good way to find good deals that are around you.  If you are looking for a good sale on something you want Google offers is a good way to look for them.  If you have your own business it is a good way to promote your business.  If you buy the deals off of the Google offers a percentage of the money goes to Google and the rest to the company. I think that Google offers is a really good tool.

iGoogle

iGoogle is a home page that you can personalize to have gadgets that you like or help you out.  It is a good way to have tools you need wherever you go, all you have to do is log in to your Google account.  There are thousands of gadgets that you can use.  There are virtual pet gadgets, office tools such as calendars, calculators, and even sticky notes.  There is also gadgets where you can get the news and have your mail all right there.  I like iGoogle because it is user friendly and it makes certain tasks a lot easier.

Google Maps

Google maps is good and easy way to find directions to a place you want to go. Google Maps also has an app you can get on your smart phone.  If I wanted to get directions to go from Abilene to Great Falls, Montana, all I would do is type in my starting and ending destination and it would give me one or two routes to get there.  It will also tell you how many miles it is and how long it will take you to get there. It will even tell you how long it will take you to walk there!! You can print out the map and the directions if you want. Google Maps is a good user friendly tool and I recommend this to anyone who needs good and accurate directions.

Google Jobs

Google offers a wide range of jobs with good benefits and there are different locations around the world that offer them.  Google in Chicago, Illinois is looking for a software engineer which would require you to know how to create applications and find solutions to problems.  In London, UK Google is looking for a Sales and Account Manager, this job requires good people skills and be able to sell things.  In Mountain View, California Google is looking for a Staffing Communications Specialist.  For that job you have to be able to develop communication plans and set up and lead meetings. Google has a lot to offer for jobs and in many locations, if you need a job Google would be a good place to apply.

Google Doodles

Google doodles are the designs that you see with the letters when you go to the Google website.  Google has people that make a new doodle everyday that has to do with something that happened in history on on that day or a holiday.  They have just plain doodles or sometimes they even have animated ones, or even ones that you can play a game.  There is also a competition going on right now for K-12 that you can submit a doodle and if you win you receive $30,000 in scholarship money and a $50,000 grant for your school.  If you would like to participate click here.  If you would like to play one of the animated doodles just type in Google doodles in Google and it will bring up multiple games.

Google Drive

Google drive is something Google offers so you can keep track of documents and have them anywhere you go. They have spreadsheets, documents, presentations, and other things.  The really cool part about this is that you can work on your project with other people. You can both edit it or they can just view it or you can set it up to where they can comment on it and you can edit it. It is really easy to add somebody on to you project and it is really helpful, you can also have more than one person added. Google Drive is a really good thing to use if you like having all your documents anywhere you go.

Animated Text

Glow Text is a website that allows you to make fancy animated texts. You can make them in different fonts and colors and motions.  You can get it on your blog by either HTML code or downloading the image and using the image gadget.  It is a good user friendly tool.

  Flash Vortex is another website that allows you to make animated texts and more.  On this website you can not only make texts but they have clocks, buttons, banners, and menus. You also have more options on the fonts and colors. This is also really easy to get on your blog, all you have to do is copy and paste the HTML code. I prefer this website.

Personas

With FireFox personas you can add a cool design to your FireFox browser window. They have thousands of different things you can put on it so you do not have to have the original grey one and make it our own. It is very easy to do and when you click "wear it" on one you like it will save it for you so if you change it and want to go back to it is saved already. It is a cool way to make your browser window different.

Backgrounds

If you want a unique blog background a good place to get one is on thecutestblogontheblock.com.  They have a variety of different backgrounds you can choose from. When you find one that you think will fit your blog you click on it and copy the code. Then you go back to your blog and add the HTML gadget and paste the code into it and it will change your background. You might have to change some things on your design to make it work with your new background. If you want something cool and different for your background, this is a good web site to go to.

Feedjit

The feedjit gadget lets you see who all is viewing your blog.  If you want to see where the people are from and what browser they are using to view your blog you would like this gadget. You can go to Feedjit.com and create your own. You can also customize the colors so it matches your blog.  It is really cool to be able to see who all is looking at your blog. The locations of the people can vary from different states to different countries. It is a really cool tool to have.

Favicon

Favicons are like cool little pictures that you can add to your blog address.  You can create a Favicon so you don't have the original one that the blogger website already had.  It's very fun and easy to do. On the Favicon website you can make your own or you can also download someone else.  If you make your own account you could create as many as want and publish them for other people to use.  Favicon is a good way to help make your blog your own.

Blogger iPad App

If I had to choose between using the blogger app or using the full web version, I would go with the full web version. The full web version has more options than the app and I think it is easier to use.  The app is a good for if you are just looking or editing your blog but I personally would not use it to make a post. The full web version makes things easier to read and you don't have to zoom in to be able to see what you are typing like you do on the iPad. The full web version on the computer is just more user friendly than the iPad app.

Symbaloo

Symbaloo is a website that can help you out a lot if you are one of those people who has a lot of different websites you like to visit.  Symbaloo is a good tool to use to bookmark your favorite websites. It is a good way to organize your bookmarks, and it also allows you to have as many different web mixes as you need, you could have a favorites web mix, a business web mix, or any other category. You can personalize you tiles by picking the color and having a symbol if you want.  Also you can share it on your social media pages like Facebook. It is a great tool to get from one site to another. I think it is a good fun tool and anyone can enjoy it.

Blogger Gadgets

Gadgets are fun little things to put on blog.  One of the cool ones is called Fish, you can feed them and pick what colors the fish will be.  Another one if you are into religion is The Inspirational Prayer of The Day.  If you like to look at pictures of cute puppies, you might like the Cute Puppy Pictures gadget.  The Worlds Healthiest Foods gadget might be interesting to you if you like to eat healthy.  If you like to look at storms and bad weather you might enjoy the Pictures of Tornados Gadget.
